Why Toe walking is a common issue in children?

Many toddlers when they're starting to walk, walk on their toes. This is really normal and usually is of no relevance. By the age of three years, they should be walking freely with the full foot flat on the ground. Nonetheless a small number don’t and persist with the toe walk. These really need to be looked at further because there are a variety of serious problems that might be causing the toe walking.

Health News On Diabetes Should Be Carefully Reviewed

My mother was recently diagnosed with diabetes. She is determined to be a good patient, and to change her eating habits. She has given up all desserts, regular soda and eats items in moderation that she knows are high in carbohydrates like rice, bread and potatoes. I just read some health news saying that they are researching whether or not diabetics should also give up fruit.

Although fruit is typically considered a healthy addition into the diet, the article I read stated that there is some controversy surrounding whether or not diabetics should give fruit up. There is a higher sugar content in fruit than there is in vegetables and there is concern over whether this natural occurring sugar is harmful to those with diabetes.

Another camp however, recommends that the fiber and nutrients which occur naturally in fruit will help to lower blood sugar. Right now, there seems to be no conclusive answer. I am holding out hope that the research will prove that it is not detrimental for diabetics to eat fruit. My mother has already given up so many foods she loves, and is trying so hard to do all the right things to improve her health and extend her life.
